Luis Enrique Izaza

Luis E. Izaza is a founding partner of Izaza Abogados, concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, administrative law, antitrust law and policy and human rights. Mr. Izaza has been involved in many major domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures and capital market transactions. He represents public and private companies in a wide variety of industries. Mr. Izaza has extensive experience representing major companies in each of these areas. He represented a U.S. telecommunications company in its appointment as administrator of the mobile number portability server in Mexico. He represented a large Mexican business conglomerate in the acquisition of a soccer club of the First Division Soccer League of Mexico. He represented one of the largest mobile telephone companies in Mexico in its successful delisting process with the Mexican Stock Exchange and the cancellation of the registry of its shares with the Mexican National Banking and Securities Commission. He advised and negotiated with competent Mexican authorities the incorporation of a Mexican Broker Dealer. He represented a Mexican subsidiary of a U.S. financial services company in the issuance of Development Capital Certificates in the Mexican market for the investment in infrastructure projects. Prior to forming the firm, Mr. Izaza served as a junior associate at Jáuregui y Navarrete in Mexico City from 2007-2011.
