Izaza Abogados is a Mexican law firm formed by a group of lawyers dedicated to providing legal advice and expertise at the highest levels, strongly focused on resolving the most important problems of our clients'. Our firm is committed to supporting pro bono matters in all our areas of practice. Our primary activity regarding pro bono matters is to provide legal advice and counsel to institutions promoting education, health, continuing legal education and support to improve the Rule of Law.
The pro bono matters that are handled by our attorneys go through a thorough selection process which has allowed us to support projects providing real social impact on Mexico and around the world.
Our aim is to provide our pro bono clients better and adequate access to justice, providing them with information and assessment about their rights and how to appear before the authorities.

Juan Carlos Izaza
Juan C. Izaza is a founding and managing Partner of Izaza Abogados, concentrating on constitutional and administrative law and human rights matters, including consulting and litigation in each of these areas. Mr. Izaza has been the principal tax lawyer on numerous domestic and cross border transactions in a wide range of industries. Mr. Izaza has more than 30 years of experience in different tax matters including structuring and advising on national and international acquisitions, mergers and cross-border transactions, and implementation of tax planning structures. Prior to forming the firm, Mr. Izaza served as the head of the Department of Legal Services of Deloitte Mexico from 1997 to 2010 as well as Chairman of its Board of Directors from 2002 to 2010. He earned a Bachelor of Laws (Licenciado en Derecho) from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), in 1977.Learn More
Luis Enrique Izaza
Luis E. Izaza is a founding partner of Izaza Abogados, concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, administrative law, antitrust law and policy and human rights. Mr. Izaza has been involved in many major domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures and capital market transactions. He represents public and private companies in a wide variety of industries. Mr. Izaza has extensive experience representing major companies in each of these areas. He represented a U.S. telecommunications company in its appointment as administrator of the mobile number portability server in Mexico. He represented a large Mexican business conglomerate in the acquisition of a soccer club of the First Division Soccer League of Mexico. He represented one of the largest mobile telephone companies in Mexico in its successful delisting process with the Mexican Stock Exchange and the cancellation of the registry of its shares with the Mexican National Banking and Securities Commission. He advised and negotiated with competent Mexican authorities the incorporation of a Mexican Broker Dealer. He represented a Mexican subsidiary of a U.S. financial services company in the issuance of Development Capital Certificates in the Mexican market for the investment in infrastructure projects.
